What we keep, why we keep it, and who else it reaches. Short, because there is not much of it.

The short version
We keep your email address, what you write about the person the song is for, and the songs themselves. What you write is sent to the AI services listed below so the song can be written and recorded. Songs are private until you decide otherwise. We do not sell anything to anyone and there is no advertising on this site.
What we store
- Your email address, because it is how you sign in. There is no password to lose.
- What you write about them — their name, how it is pronounced, who they are to you, and the description you give us. This is kept so the song can be re-made and so you can come back to it.
- The song: the lyric, the audio, the video and the subtitle file.
- Your credits and what happened to each one — granted, bought, spent on a song, or returned when one failed.
- Any rating you give a song, and how many seconds of it you had listened to when you rated it.
- Your IP address, briefly. It is recorded against a request counter so that one person cannot flood the service, and each record is deleted as its time window passes. It is not attached to your songs.
We never receive your card details. Those go to Dodo Payments directly; we see that a payment succeeded and for how much.
Who else sees it
Making a song is not something we can do alone, so some of what you write leaves our servers. This is the complete list.
| Anthropic | what you write about the person, so a model can draft the lyric | United States |
| Mureka | the lyric, which includes their name and the details you gave, and the musical direction, to perform and record the song | Singapore |
| ElevenLabs | the finished song, to check the words and the name can be heard; and, only if Mureka cannot record it, the lyric and the musical direction, to record it instead | United States |
| Dodo Payments | your payment, your email and billing country. Dodo is the merchant of record: it sells you the credits, collects any sales tax or VAT, and handles your card details, which never reach us | United States / India |
| Resend | your email address, to send the sign-in link | United States |
| Cloudflare | the finished audio, video and subtitle files, in object storage | European Union |
| Google Analytics | which pages you visit and which buttons you press (never what you write about anyone), to see which parts of the site work. In Europe, its cookies are only set if you agree | United States |
| Sentry | error reports when something breaks, which can include your user id | United States |
Because two of these are model providers in the United States, the practical advice is the same as the tick box on the form: write the specific, ordinary, human things that make a good song, and do not write anything about that person you would not want leaving your own device — health, finances, anything they have told you in confidence.
Who can hear a song
Only you, unless you create a share link. A share link is unguessable but it is not secret: anyone you send it to can pass it on, and anyone holding it can listen and read the lyric. They cannot see what you wrote about the person — that is never shown on a share page. You can turn a link off again at any time from the song's own page.
How long we keep it
Songs and the notes behind them are kept until you ask us to delete them, because the point of a library is that it is still there next year. Rate-limit records last minutes. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your songs, what you wrote, and your email address; the credit ledger keeps the bare fact of a purchase, without the notes, because tax records have to exist.
What you can ask for
A copy of everything we hold about you, a correction, or deletion. Write to support@sungfor.me and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU, these are your rights under GDPR and this paragraph does not narrow them.
Cookies
The sign-in session, which is not readable by JavaScript and does not follow you to other sites. And Google Analytics, which counts visits and which buttons are pressed so we can see what works — never what you write about anyone. In the EU, the UK and Switzerland its cookies are only set if you say yes to the small question at the bottom of the page; without them it sends an anonymous, cookieless count. There are no advertising cookies.
