Terms
What you can expect from us, and the two things we need from you. Plain English, because a term nobody reads protects nobody.
Last updated 20 October 2026.
What this is
You tell us about a person; software writes a lyric and performs it; you get a song of about three minutes, a page you can send, a video and the words. It is made by AI, and we say so everywhere rather than letting you find out later.
The person the song is about
This is the part that matters most, because almost every song here is about someone who is not you. By making one you are confirming two things:
- They would be happy for you to make it. A song is a gift, not a publication — do not make one about someone who would not want it.
- You are not telling us anything private or sensitive about them. No health, no finances, no religion or politics, nothing told to you in confidence, and nothing about a child that a parent would not write themselves.
Do not use this to impersonate anyone, to harass anyone, or to make something about a public figure that a reasonable person would read as coming from them. If a song breaks these rules we will remove it and the share link with it, and we will tell you why.
What you may do with the song
A song you have bought is yours to keep, play, download and send to the person it was written for. That is a personal licence and it is broad: post it, put it in a slideshow, play it at a party.
It is not a commercial licence. Not for advertising, not for a product you sell, not for background music in a business, and not for anything monetised. We will say when that changes; today the honest answer is that the rights we hold from our own providers do not reach that far.
What we promise, and what we do not
We do not promise that a particular song will be good. Nobody honestly can — it is written by a model from a paragraph, and taste is not a specification. That is why the examples on our home page are real, unedited songs made the same way yours will be, and why every song you pay for comes with one free remake: the same details, made again from scratch, once, and you keep both.
We do promise that a song which fails to generate costs you nothing — the credit comes back automatically. See the refund policy.
The service can be unavailable, and providers we depend on can change or withdraw. We will not delete your songs without telling you.
Paying
Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, our online reseller and merchant of record. When you buy credits you buy them from Dodo Payments, which charges your card, issues the receipt and collects any sales tax or VAT due where you live. Questions about a charge can go to either of us; questions about a song come to us. Prices are one-time, in US dollars, and include any tax that applies.
Your account
One account per person, and keep your sign-in to yourself. Ask us to close your account whenever you like.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and we will email anyone with credits outstanding. Small corrections we will just make.
